My name is Duke Sam Alfred. I am married to Deborah and we have four children, two
girl and two boys. I am a Nigerian and a full time pastor. I was trained and ordained
by the Assemblies of God church and I still serve with them.
I became a missionary pastor to the Assemblies of God, Benin. During this course,
I saw that the deaf are left behind concerning the matters of the gospel. And since
I was already a missionary; I thought it wise adding deaf ministry to my mission
in Benin.
I started a deaf ministry while I was still in the bible college in Nigeria, where
I learned sign language. My first step was as an interpreter. It was a passion and
love for the less privileged that drew me into deaf ministry. I really enjoyed the
little ministry of interpretation when I was just an interpreter for the deaf people
and never knew I would give my entire time for deaf ministry.
All this time, I have interpreted, ran churches, hosted camp meetings and ran schools,
all for the deaf and now I am working with CB Deaf Ministry as the Coordinator for
Africa to reach more and more Deaf.
